Combinations (selections) §

• Suppose you select a team of 3 people from a group of 8. The number of permutations for 3 out of 8 ppl is:
  • ${}^8{P}_3=\frac{8!}{(8-3)!}=336$
• however, the order of team doesn’t matter.
• to ‘undo’ an order, divide by the n of arrangements
